ATTENUATION

To satisfy current Australian Standards regarding heat flux transfer as in the deemed to satisfy methods outlined in AS 1530.4-2005, which include glass blocks and heat resistant glass. An alternative solution using attenuation screens is an attractive solution. Satisfying air flow requirements for BCA compliance regulations whist still maintaining high levels of natural light in take levels.

PURPOSE

To block any radiant heat being broadcast and likely ignition of combustible materials.

REQUIREMENTS

To satisfy requirements a Fire Safety Report (FSR) from a Fire Engineer or Certifier will be required. The purpose of the report is to describe the means by which the Alternative Solution meets the applicable Performance Requirements to the satisfaction of the Regulatory Authorities e.g the Building Certifier, and the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS). This document will also recommend the deemed to satisfy altenative solution.

PRODUCT

Innovision Solutions use only CSIRO certified attenuating screens. We are completely satisfied therefore that any anomalies arising from questions relating to compliance requirements will not be of concern. It is noted that we offer the preferred choice as recommended by engineers, and supply all relevant documentation on project completion.
